Beirut: Hezbollah stated on Thursday that it executed four attacks on Israeli sites and forces located in northern Israel and southern Lebanon. This comes in response to Israeli airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of over 250 individuals across Lebanon.

According to Anadolu Agency, Hezbollah announced through a series of statements that it launched rockets targeting the settlements of Manara and Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel. Additionally, the group reported hitting an Israeli military vehicle with a guided missile in the southern Lebanese town of Taybeh and executing a drone attack on an Israeli force within the same vicinity.

The group declared that these attacks were a reprisal against continuous Israeli violations of the ceasefire. The US and Iran had declared a two-week truce on Tuesday, with the intention of facilitating a final agreement to conclude a war initiated by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran on February 28. This conflict has resulted in numerous casualties.

Despite claims by Pakistani mediators and Tehran that the ceasefire encompasses Lebanon, Washington and Tel Aviv have refuted this. Consequently, the Israeli military embarked on an extensive series of airstrikes on Wednesday, which resulted in 254 fatalities and 1,165 injuries, as reported by Lebanon’s Civil Defense.

Israel has been conducting airstrikes and a ground offensive in southern Lebanon following a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2, despite the ceasefire that was supposed to be in effect since November 2024. Lebanese authorities have reported that at least 1,739 people have been killed and 5,873 others injured due to the ongoing Israeli attacks.
