Czech President Emphasizes Balanced Approach to Israel’s Security

Prague: Czech President Petr Pavel on Tuesday asserted that Israel's security should not come at the expense of the security of other countries in the Middle East, highlighting the necessity for a comprehensive regional approach to peace.

According to Anadolu Agency, Pavel stated that ensuring long-term stability throughout the entire region must be prioritized. He emphasized the importance of actively supporting initiatives aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.

The remarks were made as the Czech Republic continues to demonstrate strong support for Israel. On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka and Prime Minister Andrej Babis for the country's unwavering backing.

Additionally, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with Macinka on Tuesday, praising him as a 'friend' and describing the Czech Republic as 'one of Israel's greatest allies worldwide.'

The Czech government has maintained a consistent position of support for Israel, even as international calls grow for efforts to reduce tensions and enhance wider regional security.
