Astana: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in a Turkic summit and engage in high-level discussions in the capital.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan's arrival at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport was marked by a warm reception, which included a welcome in the Honor Hall section by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkey's Ambassador to Astana Mustafa Kapucu, and other officials. Both presidents were greeted by children waving Turkish and Kazakh flags, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.

Erdogan's plane was escorted by fighter jets during its descent, while two helicopters adorned with Turkish and Kazakh flags flew overhead, highlighting the significance of the visit. The Turkish President's visit comes at the invitation of President Tokayev, with Erdogan expected to attend the Informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkistan. Additionally, a meeting titled "Astana-Ankara: From brotherhood to a pragmatic Eurasian alliance" is planned to further enhance bilateral cooperation.

Erdogan is accompanied by first lady Emine Erdogan and a high-ranking delegation that includes Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin, National Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir. The delegation also features Trade Minister Omer Bolat, AK Party Deputy Chairman Kursad Zorlu, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, and Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic.
