Pilgrims Arrive in Mina for Hajj Climax in Saudi Arabia

Saudi arabia: Pilgrims have fully arrived at the camp city of Mina in anticipation of the annual standing at Mount Arafat, marking the climax of the Hajj pilgrimage set for Tuesday, as announced by Saudi authorities on Monday. Interior Ministry spokesperson Talal bin Shalhoub detailed that the first phase of the Hajj security plan was implemented smoothly and in full coordination with all relevant agencies.

According to Anadolu Agency, Shalhoub highlighted that the arrival of pilgrims to Mina was completed with high traffic flow efficiency. Pilgrims are preparing to spend the night in Mina before proceeding to Arafat on Tuesday. Field preparations are underway to facilitate the movement of pilgrims from the holy city of Mecca to the plains of Arafat.

Hajj rituals officially commenced on Monday as pilgrims arrived in Mina, located west of Saudi Arabia. Extensive services and security measures have been put in place to facilitate the pilgrimage. The six-day Hajj season features standing at Arafat, overnight stays in Muzdalifah, the symbolic stoning ritual, and the farewell circumambulation at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.

These rituals symbolize the essential concepts of the Islamic faith and commemorate the trials faced by Prophet Abraham and his family. In preparation for the Hajj season, Saudi authorities announced on Friday that more than 1.5 million pilgrims from outside the kingdom have arrived for this year's pilgrimage.
