Ankara: US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Saturday that American forces successfully intercepted and shot down two Iranian one-way attack drones above the Strait of Hormuz. The unmanned aerial vehicles were reportedly a threat to international maritime traffic in this strategically crucial waterway.

According to Anadolu Agency, CENTCOM communicated through US social media platform X, stating, “Earlier today, US forces in the Middle East shot down two Iranian one-way attack drones that threatened international maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.” The command further emphasized that American forces remain vigilant and prepared to counter any Iranian aggression in the region.
