Baghdad: US Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq Tom Barrack announced his plans to meet with Iraq's new Prime Minister, Ali Al-Zaidi, on Monday to explore avenues for strengthening the bilateral partnership between the United States and Iraq.

According to Anadolu Agency, Barrack expressed his enthusiasm for the meeting via a post on the US social media platform X, where he shared a photo of himself being welcomed by Charg© d'Affaires Joshua Harris at the US Embassy in Baghdad. Barrack stated that his visit aims to convey President Trump's support for Al-Zaidi's government and to discuss a new direction for a robust and mutually beneficial relationship between the two nations.
