Fresh Israeli Attacks Kill at Least 6 in Gaza Amid Continued Ceasefire Violations

Gaza city: At least six Palestinians, including four from the same family, were killed and others injured in the Gaza Strip early Saturday amid continued Israeli violations of an ongoing ceasefire, according to medical and eyewitness accounts.

According to Anadolu Agency, two children and their parents were also killed when an Israeli airstrike hit their home near Al-Tayaran junction in Gaza City, as per a medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported that the strike targeted the Safadi family home at dawn, resulting in the deaths of Hussein and Rana Safadi and their two daughters, Zina (6) and Lana (13). The attack also injured several other family members and nearby residents.

A medical source informed Anadolu that a Palestinian woman was killed by Israeli gunfire in the town of Beit Lahia, located in the northern part of the strip. In a separate incident, a Palestinian man was killed and a woman was moderately injured after an Israeli drone strike targeted pedestrians near Al-Saftawi roundabout in northern Gaza City, according to witnesses.

The attacks occur amid ongoing Israeli breaches of the truce that took effect in October 2025. The Gaza's Health Ministry reported that, as of Thursday, these violations have resulted in the deaths of 1,007 Palestinians and injuries to 3,165 others.

The ceasefire agreement was established following Israel's two-year campaign in Gaza, which resulted in the deaths of more than 73,000 Palestinians, injuries to over 173,000, and widespread destruction affecting approximately 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
