Russia Alleges Drone Attack on Krasnodarskaya Gas Compressor Station

Russia: Russia said on Wednesday that a gas compressor station was targeted in a drone attack the previous night. State energy company Gazprom stated that the Krasnodarskaya gas compressor station in the southern Krasnodar region was attacked Tuesday at 7.51 pm local time (0451GMT). The facility is a part of the Russian gas supply chain via Blue Stream, a trans-Black Sea pipeline carrying gas to Trkiye.

According to Anadolu Agency, the attack was aimed at disrupting uninterrupted Russian gas supplies to Trkiye. Repairs are currently underway, and prompt measures were taken to prevent supply disruptions, Gazprom's statement added. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov later told a press briefing that Russia is taking "maximum measures" to minimize the danger from these attacks.

"We believe that the Kyiv regime has consistently demonstrated aggressiveness and a penchant for terrorist attacks against critical international energy system facilities, and we consider this to be extremely dangerous," Peskov said. Ukrainian authorities have yet to comment on the incident or react to the Kremlin spokesman's remarks.
