Moscow: Russia continued to strengthen its economy and armed forces despite pressure from the "collective West," President Vladimir Putin said on Monday, highlighting national resilience and public support.

According to Anadolu Agency, speaking at the "Everything for Victory!" awards ceremony organized by the All-Russia People's Front (ONF) in Moscow, Putin emphasized the importance of citizen involvement in maintaining the country's strength. The event recognized individuals contributing to humanitarian efforts and support for Russian troops.

Putin noted that over 20 million people have united to voluntarily donate nearly 70 billion rubles to support the 'special military operation.' He attributed the country's progress in various sectors to these collective efforts and asserted that such support ensures impending victory.

During the ceremony at the Russia National Centre, Putin presented awards to volunteers and civilians for their humanitarian work, emergency response, and support for troops. Notable recipients included Anatoly Vasilchenko and Viktor Taraskin, who helped evacuate students in the Luhansk region following a Ukrainian strike, and Shamil Ustarbekov, who aided residents during severe flooding in Dagestan.

The ONF is also tasked with monitoring the implementation of 552 presidential directives, addressing issues raised by citizens during Putin's annual televised call-in program, underscoring the role of public engagement in national governance.
