Sanaa: Ukraine announced on Wednesday that Russian airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of at least six individuals and injuries to 23 others in the southeastern Odesa and northeastern Sumy regions.
According to Anadolu Agency, Sumy Governor Oleh Hryhorov revealed on Telegram that overnight shelling in the region's administrative center resulted in three fatalities and 17 injuries. Hryhorov stated that the shelling targeted civilian areas, damaging at least ten households, and unexploded ordnance was discovered in the vicinity.
In a separate incident, Odesa Governor Oleh Kiper reported that the region has been subjected to a combination of missile and drone attacks for five consecutive days. Kiper detailed that a missile strike damaged a multi-storey residential building, causing the deaths of three people and injuring at least three others. The number of injured later rose to six, with four hospitalized and two receiving outpatient care.
Ukraine's Air Force reported that its air defenses successfully shot down 101 out of 122 drones launched by Russia overnight, along with intercepting two Kh-59/69 missiles originating from Crimea. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces conducted strikes on Ukrainian logistics centers, fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure, as well as long-range drone storage and temporary deployment sites over the past day.
