UN Issues Warning Over Intensified Israeli Occupier Attacks in West Bank

Sanaa: The UN has raised concerns regarding the increasing attacks by Israeli occupiers on Palestinians residing in the occupied West Bank, highlighting the ongoing violence that results in casualties, property damage, and displacement.

According to Anadolu Agency, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric addressed these concerns during a news conference, emphasizing the need for urgent attention to the escalating violence. He noted that personnel from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) have documented a recent attack in which two Palestinians were killed and others injured in the occupied West Bank.

Dujarric underscored the necessity for protection of Palestinians across the occupied Palestinian territory and called for an end to the killings and violence, urging that those responsible be held accountable.

The frequency of violent occupier attacks in the West Bank has risen over recent years, with minimal measures taken against those involved.

According to official Palestinian figures, since October 2023, the escalating attacks by the Israeli army and occupiers in the occupied West Bank have resulted in the deaths of 1,181 Palestinians and injuries to nearly 13,000 others, with approximately 24,000 Palestinians having been arrested.
