Ankara: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday stated that Washington would bomb an Iranian bridge or power plant each time Tehran attacks a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump emphasized on his Truth Social platform that any assault by Iran on ships in the Strait of Hormuz would result in the United States retaliating by targeting significant infrastructure in Iran, including bridges or power plants, even those in Tehran.

The United States has been conducting strikes across Iranian territories since last week, with Tehran responding by hitting facilities and bases it claims are utilized by the US military in various countries within the region.

Despite the ongoing exchange of fire, a Pakistani-brokered framework agreement, signed by the US and Iran in June, aimed to end the conflict that began in February and set the stage for a lasting peace agreement.
