Iraqi Prime Minister to Discuss Strategic Cooperation During Visit to Trkiye

Ankara: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Ali Al-Zaidi announced that his first official visit to Trkiye will focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in key areas such as investment, water resources, regional security, and major infrastructure projects. This visit marks a significant step since Al-Zaidi assumed office in May.

According to Anadolu Agency, Al-Zaidi shared on the social media platform X that the invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan aims to strengthen the political and economic ties between Iraq and Trkiye. Al-Zaidi emphasized the deep-rooted connections between the two nations, citing history, geography, culture, and shared interests as foundational elements that bind Iraq and Trkiye together.

The discussions during the visit will prioritize investment opportunities, water, and transportation development routes. These talks are expected to enhance regional stability and initiate several economic and security projects to benefit both countries. Al-Zaidi expressed a commitment to launching initiatives that will yield mutual benefits for the peoples of Iraq and Trkiye.
