Ankara: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enacted a decree imposing sanctions on entities accused of bolstering Russia's military-industrial complex and law enforcement agencies by circumventing international sanctions.

According to Anadolu Agency, the presidential office announced that the sanctions affect 23 companies and 20 individuals. Among the targets is Kidma Tek, known for manufacturing optical devices, air defense systems, and multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as repairing aircraft and anti-tank guided missiles. Additionally, the Morozov Plant, a part of the Russian state defense conglomerate Rostec, is included in the sanctions list. The Morozov Plant is involved in producing explosives, rocket fuel, and materials for missile systems, notably solid-fuel charges for the Iskander-M ballistic missile engine.

Further entities affected by the sanctions include Spetselektronkomplekt, which creates guided aircraft missiles, and Aurum, a supplier of electronic warfare systems and drones to Russia. The sanctions also encompass Russian IT companies that develop digital solutions and information security software for both government and private-sector clients.

Vladyslav Vlasyuk, presidential sanctions adviser, stated, "We continue systematic work to introduce sanctions against weapons manufacturers, in particular ballistics, and other companies that ensure the activities of the Russian military-industrial complex." He emphasized that each enterprise losing access to components, technologies, or financing would lead to a reduced production of ballistic missiles, drones, and other wartime weapons. Vlasyuk further urged more states to join in such restrictions to diminish Russia's capacity to strike Ukraine.
