Beirut: Israeli drones flew at low altitude over the Lebanese capital Beirut, its southern suburbs, the southern city of Tyre, and nearby towns, according to state media. Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) reported these drone flights, raising concerns about ongoing tensions in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the NNA also reported that Israeli forces carried out a powerful explosion in the town of Kfar Tebnit. However, the agency did not provide further details about the nature of the blast or any resulting damage, leaving residents and officials seeking more information.

These incidents occurred amid ongoing violations by Israel despite the seventh round of direct negotiations between Beirut and Tel Aviv. The talks, aimed at resolving ongoing disputes, began on Tuesday in Rome and are scheduled to continue through Thursday. Despite a US-mediated 'framework formula' agreement signed in June, tensions remain high.

Israel's assault on Lebanon, which started on March 2, has resulted in significant casualties, with 4,333 people killed and 12,250 injured, as reported by Lebanon's Health Ministry. Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, including areas seized during the 2023-2024 war. The ongoing assault has seen Israeli forces advancing more than 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) into Lebanese territory, exacerbating the conflict.
