Ankara: Trkiye's National Security Council has called for the resumption of talks between Iran and the US, highlighting concerns that escalating tensions could affect neighboring countries and global trade routes. The appeal was made following a council meeting led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

According to Anadolu Agency, the council emphasized the dangers of the ongoing conflict between Iran and the US. The statement pointed out the potential risks to regional stability and the global economy, urging all involved parties to avoid military actions and return to peace negotiations.

The council also assessed the progress of initiatives aimed at achieving a "Terror-Free Trkiye" and a "terror-free region." The discussions focused on the advancements and future steps necessary to ensure the country's security and stability.

Furthermore, the statement from the council criticized the international community's lack of response to Israel's actions in Palestine. It urged for a decisive stance against Israel's provocative attacks on Palestinian holy sites.
