Majid al-Nuzaili stated that the operation was initiated in response to recent Houthi attacks on military camps located in the provinces of Marib and Hadhramaut. The operation is being conducted along various contact lines on multiple fronts and axes.

According to Anadolu Agency, a vessel was struck by a projectile approximately 18 nautical miles east of Khasab, Oman, resulting in a fire that was subsequently extinguished. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that they received information about the incident from a verified source. The agency confirmed that the strike led to a fire aboard the vessel, which was successfully extinguished, ensuring the safety of the crew.

The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) chief, Gen. Brad Cooper, has paid a visit to Israel, engaging in discussions with senior military officials regarding developments concerning Iran and the Gaza Strip before heading back to the US. Israel's public broadcaster KAN reported that Cooper met with Israeli Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other senior military figures. Prior to his visit to Israel, Cooper held meetings in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate tensions between the US and Iran, according to KAN.
