Istanbul: Istanbul Airport broke its all-time daily passenger record in Trkiye and Europe on Saturday, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu said Thursday.
According to Anadolu Agency, Uraloglu shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal that the airport served 289,732 passengers on August 9. He emphasized that this figure marks the highest daily passenger number ever recorded in both Trkiye and Europe.
In his statement, Uraloglu highlighted the efforts to strengthen Istanbul's position as a global aviation hub, attributing the achievement to the robust transport infrastructure developed in the region.
