Tel aviv: The US Embassy in Israel has issued a warning to American citizens residing or traveling in the Middle East about the potential for flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions due to escalating tensions in the region. The advisory highlights the complex security environment and the possibility of unforeseen escalations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the embassy's advisory notes that US diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, have been targeted. It further suggests that Iran and groups supportive of Iran may aim to target other US interests overseas or entities associated with the United States and its citizens, including businesses and other institutions worldwide. The advisory strongly encourages US citizens traveling to or from the region to remain informed regarding airport and airline operations.

The warning coincides with an announcement by the US Central Command on Tuesday that American forces had initiated strikes against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets in Iran. The tensions between Tehran and Washington have been pronounced since the conflict began with strikes on Iran in late February.

In June, a framework deal was signed with the mediation of Pakistan and Qatar, but the US later launched a two-week bombing campaign in July, subsequently reimposing a naval blockade due to disagreements over navigation in the strait. The situation remains delicate as diplomatic and military maneuvers continue to unfold in the region.
