Ankara: The foreign ministers of Trkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have issued a strong condemnation of recent statements made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Defense Minister Israel Katz concerning the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
According to Anadolu Agency, in a joint statement released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the ministers criticized the proposals aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land. They emphasized that such rhetoric is a violation of international law and poses a threat to the rights of the Palestinian people. The ministers declared these proposals as a direct threat to the legitimate rights of Palestinians and a breach of international humanitarian law.
The ministers expressed their unanimous rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians within or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory, regardless of the justification provided. They cautioned that implementing such calls into official policy or measures could lead to serious regional repercussions.
Furthermore, the ministers highlighted that such actions would undermine international peace efforts, including US President Donald Trump's Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which opposes forced displacement. They stressed the importance of Gaza as an essential part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and called for maintaining the territorial unity of Palestine across Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
Reaffirming their commitment to a two-state solution, the ministers underscored the necessity for a just and lasting peace, with an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international resolutions.
The ministers also called upon the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to address attempts to alter the demographic or geographic realities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and to ensure adherence to international law. They reiterated their support for Palestinians remaining on their land and rejected any efforts to undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
