Saratov: A Ukrainian drone strike caused damage to civilian infrastructure and resulted in at least 10 injuries in southwestern Russia, a local official said Tuesday. Saratov Governor Roman Busargin reported on Telegram that a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle threat was detected early Tuesday, leading to damage in the city of Saratov along the Volga River.

According to Anadolu Agency, Busargin confirmed that the drone attack affected several houses in the region. "Ten people, including three children, were injured. All received necessary medical care. Six people were hospitalized; their lives are not in danger," Busargin stated.

Local media reports indicated that Ukrainian drones targeted the Saratov Oil Refinery overnight. Footage on social media, analyzed by independent monitoring groups, reportedly showed fires at the facility, although neither authorities nor the Ukrainian side have officially confirmed the strike.

In a related incident in the Rostov region, Governor Yury Slyusar reported that approximately 100 drones were destroyed overnight across 10 districts, including Chertkovsky and Morozovsky. Falling drone debris caused a grass fire in the Chertkovsky District, which was extinguished by emergency workers without injuries.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that its air defenses shot down 384 Ukrainian drones overnight across 14 regions, as well as over the Black Sea and Crimea. Independent verification of these claims remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict, and Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the strikes.

These developments continue the hostilities in the Russia-Ukraine war, following a recent pause in strikes during a visit by US envoys for peace talks. Both Moscow and Kyiv have increasingly targeted each other's logistics centers, port, and energy infrastructure. Both sides claim their strikes are aimed at military targets or facilities linked to military activities, denying deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure.
