Quneitra: Israeli forces raided the village of Breqa in Syria's southern Quneitra province, marking another violation of the country's sovereignty. According to Anadolu Agency, Syrian Al-Ikhbariah TV reported that Israeli forces stormed a house and conducted a search during the raid.

The incident is the latest in a series of Israeli raids and shelling in Quneitra in recent days. On Sunday, Al-Ikhbariah reported Israeli forces fired an artillery shell at the outskirts of the village of Eastern Samadaniya in the central Quneitra countryside. A day earlier, Israeli forces fired six artillery shells at the outskirts of the town of Al-Rafid in southern Quneitra.

A force of five Israeli military vehicles also raided the area around the town before withdrawing, with no arrests reported. Breqa has witnessed repeated Israeli raids in recent months, including one on July 31, when a force of three military vehicles entered the village, set up a checkpoint, and searched passersby without making any arrests.

Areas in southern Syria have been experiencing near-daily Israeli raids and attacks, particularly in Quneitra and Daraa provinces, involving home raids, searches, arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints. Israel has occupied most of Syria's Golan Heights since 1967, and after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime on December 8, 2024, Israel announced the collapse of the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement, occupying the Syrian buffer zone and other sites, including the Syrian side of Mount Hermon (Jabal al-Sheikh).

On July 26, Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa stated that his country was working with other states to reach a security agreement with Israel, which could pave the way for comprehensive peace without giving up Syria's rightful claim to the occupied Golan.
