Russia and ukraine: Russia and Ukraine on Thursday traded accusations concerning overnight airstrikes that at least three people and injured over 30 others in both countries.
According to Anadolu Agency, in Ukraine, Dnipropetrovsk Governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported that eight people were injured following overnight strikes that damaged apartment buildings and local infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih and the Nikopol district. Sumy Governor Oleh Hryhorov confirmed two fatalities and 20 injuries after a Russian strike targeted a shopping mall in Sumy's capital. Among the injured were three girls aged 15-16, with varying degrees of injuries.
In the Kyiv region, Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, stated that Russian attacks resulted in three injuries, with significant damage noted in Fastiv and Bucha districts. Tkachenko highlighted that 32 properties were damaged, including two industrial or warehouse facilities. In the Mykolaiv region, acting Governor Heorhii Reshetilov reported four deaths and 19 injuries from strikes targeting port, industrial, and civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine's Air Force claimed successful interception of 128 out of 149 drones launched by Russia. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry asserted that group strikes were conducted against a drone warehouse in Mykolaiv and infrastructure facilities in Chornomorsk's customs terminal distribution center. They alleged these sites were used for Ukrainian military purposes and reported striking two dry-cargo vessels and a tugboat en route to Odesa.
In Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed the downing of 448 Ukrainian drones across 13 regions and over the Black Sea, Sea of Azov, and Crimea. In Voronezh, Governor Aleksandr Gusev reported one death and two injuries after a drone incident in Borisoglebsk. Gusev noted the destruction of 19 unmanned aerial vehicles across multiple districts.
Krasnodar Krai's Operational Headquarters reported eight injuries from a drone strike on an embankment in Sochi. Ukrainian authorities have yet to comment on these attacks. Both Moscow and Kyiv continue to target each other's logistics centers, port, and energy infrastructure. Both sides deny targeting civilian infrastructure, asserting their strikes focus on military targets.
In a separate incident, Dmitry Artyukhov, head of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, mentioned a drone attack caused a fire at an industrial facility in Novy Urengoy, with no casualties reported. Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) claimed responsibility for striking two gas condensate processing facilities in western Siberia, marking a significant deep strike inside Russia. Independent verification remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
