Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in the capital Baku.

According to Anadolu Agency, a statement from the Azerbaijani presidency noted that Aliyev received Fidan, who arrived in Azerbaijan for a two-day visit. During their meeting, Fidan conveyed greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Aliyev, who reciprocated with his greetings to Erdogan.

The discussions between the two officials revolved around the successful development of the brotherly and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the further strengthening of cooperation based on the principle of "one nation, two states."

The meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation in the energy sector, with an exchange of views on new routes to international markets in the field of alternative energy. Additionally, the logistical significance of Azerbaijan and Trkiye as a bridge between Europe and Asia was underscored, along with the necessity of coordinating activities within international organizations.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the future of bilateral relations, regional issues, and other matters of mutual interest, emphasizing the continued collaboration between the two nations.
