Istanbul:Trkiye's benchmark BIST 100 index opened on Thursday at 11,540.61 points, marking a decrease of 0.32%, or 36.50 points, from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the index had closed on Wednesday with a drop of 1.87% at 11,577.12 points, accompanied by a daily transaction volume of 85.9 billion Turkish liras, which equates to $1.73 billion.

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the Turkish lira was trading at 49.6270 against the US dollar, 55.9090 against the euro, and 66.6430 against the British pound. Meanwhile, gold was priced at $4,089.90 per ounce, and Brent crude oil futures were at $111.55 per barrel.
