Jakarta: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed strong support for Palestine during a speech at a reception commemorating the 100th anniversary of an Islamic school. During the event, he passionately chanted "Free Palestine" multiple times, emphasizing Indonesia's commitment to the Palestinian cause.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulfattah A.K. Al-Sattari, presented President Prabowo with a keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian scarf. After receiving the scarf, Prabowo returned to the podium, visibly moved, and wiped his eyes with the keffiyeh. His gesture was followed by repeated chants of "Free Palestine," resonating with those present.

President Prabowo articulated that Indonesia's strength is crucial in aiding those oppressed by other regimes, specifically referring to the Palestinian plight. He urged that the continuous attacks against Palestinians should motivate Indonesia to bolster its national power and self-reliance.

The president highlighted the importance of Indonesia's self-reliance, stating that the nation's strength lies in effectively managing and utilizing its natural resources. Furthermore, Prabowo stressed learning from past experiences to prevent any future colonization of Indonesia, reinforcing the nation's need to remain strong and independent.
