Ankara:More than 308,000 individuals have been displaced from Sudan's three Kordofan states since late October 2025, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

According to Anadolu Agency, the IOM stated that 308,179 people were displaced from 1,327 locations across North, West, and South Kordofan between October 25, 2025, and September 1, 2026.

Field teams from the UN agency reported 118 incidents that triggered the displacement in the region during this period. The most significant number of displaced individuals from Kordofan was recorded in Khartoum state, where 123,509 people have sought refuge. An additional 66,575 were recorded in North Kordofan and 40,237 in White Nile state.

Earlier figures from the IOM indicated that approximately 219,319 people were displaced from the Kordofan states between October 25, 2025, and June 23, 2026.

The states of North, West, and South Kordofan have been affected by ongoing conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces since the escalation began in late October 2025. This conflict, which started in April 2023, has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people and has displaced millions across Sudan and into neighboring countries.
