Umm Alila:Sudanese authorities reported that a fire at fuel depots in the central Al Jazirah state was extinguished after being caused by a drone strike from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

According to Anadolu Agency, the Al Jazirah state government announced that civil defense teams managed to control the fire at the Umm Alila fuel depots 'in record time.' Details regarding damage to the facility or casualties were not provided.

Umm Alila is located close to Abu Haraz in eastern Al Jazirah, roughly 20 kilometers northeast of Wad Madani, the state capital. The Al Jazirah Conference Organization, a nongovernmental group, condemned the attack, highlighting the importance of the fuel depots for local residents and warning that damage could disrupt fuel supplies and essential services.

The organization also reported that three drones crashed in civilian areas in the village of Wad al-Bir al-Khawalida, endangering residents and their properties. Activists shared videos on social media showing a drone that had fallen on farmland in the village.

The conflict between Sudan's army and the RSF has been ongoing since April 2023, sparked by a dispute over the integration of the RSF into the military. The fighting has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and displaced millions.
