French and Argentinian Presidents Meet in Paris to Discuss Investments and AI

Paris:French President Emmanuel Macron hosted Argentinian President Javier Milei for a meeting on Thursday focused on French investments, artificial intelligence, and economic relations between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the 40-minute meeting at the Elysee Palace was part of Argentina Week in Paris and was succeeded by discussions involving governors, business leaders, and the Argentine delegation with their French counterparts.

The discussions centered on investment plans by French companies in Argentina, the future of artificial intelligence, and Milei's economic adjustment strategies. The leaders also touched upon bilateral economic relations.

A source from the Argentinian delegation mentioned that several topics were addressed, including artificial intelligence, Argentina Week, and energy-related announcements by French firms.

President Milei is also scheduled to receive an award from the Paris Economic Forum on Friday. His visit, however, has attracted criticism from some Argentines and human rights activists, environmentalists, and trade unions who oppose his policies, as reported by Franceinfo.
