Hodeidah:According to Anadolu Agency, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen announced that it conducted a military operation against the Houthi group in the Red Sea province of Hodeidah.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki reported on X that the operation resulted in the destruction of weapons depots, storage facilities for explosive-laden boats, and naval mines.
Additionally, the coalition claimed to have thwarted an imminent plot targeting waterways in the southern Red Sea.
The conflict in Yemen began in 2014 when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and other provinces, leading to the Saudi-led coalition's intervention in 2015 to support the internationally recognized government. A truce established in 2022 collapsed in July, resulting in an escalation of fighting.
