Ankara:Turkey's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, opened on Monday at 12,373.11 points, marking an increase of 0.84% or 102.93 points.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 had previously closed on Friday with a rise of 0.17%, reaching 12,270.18 points with a daily transaction volume of 124.8 billion liras, equivalent to $2.54 billion.
At 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 49.1620 Turkish liras per US dollar, 55.0100 per euro, and 64.9990 per British pound. The price of an ounce of gold stood at $4,151.05, while Brent crude futures were trading at $101.54 per barrel.
