Sochi:A fire erupted aboard a tanker in the Black Sea near the resort city of Sochi, leading authorities to close nearby beaches in Sirius.

According to Anadolu Agency, Dmitry Plishkin, head of the Sirius federal territory administration, stated on Telegram that water and air quality are being continuously monitored in the area.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and there has been no information provided about potential injuries or the tanker's origin. Some Telegram channels have speculated that the fire might have been caused by an attack involving uncrewed surface vessels or strike drones.
