Israeli Forces Conduct Military Incursion into Syrian Village

Ankara:Israeli forces advanced into eastern Samadaniyah village in Syria's Quneitra countryside on Thursday, marking a new military incursion.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Syrian Al-Ekhbariya news channel reported that the operation involved two Israeli tanks and over 15 military vehicles transporting soldiers into the village, moving towards the outskirts of Tal Krum.

The incursion follows an Israeli army shelling of the outskirts of Al-Samdaniya Al-Sharqiya village in southern Quneitra province just a day earlier, as reported by the official SANA news agency.

Israel has been conducting repeated shelling and ground incursions in southern Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024. Damascus continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory and remains committed to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
