Amman:The US Embassy in Jordan has advised American citizens in the Middle East to exercise caution due to the region's complex security situation.
According to Anadolu Agency, the embassy highlighted the need for increased vigilance among Americans, warning of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions.
The embassy statement noted that Iranian-supported Houthis have conducted attacks against Saudi Arabia, targeting civilian airports and critical infrastructure, resulting in civilian casualties. It warned that such hostilities could quickly escalate.
Additionally, the statement cautioned that Iran and its allies might target US interests abroad, including American businesses and institutions worldwide.
US citizens were urged to stay informed by monitoring updates from the Jordanian government regarding specific threats and to adhere to any instructions, such as sirens and warnings. They were also advised to follow the latest travel advisories and guidance issued by the US Embassy.
