Jakarta:The Saudi-led coalition announced on Friday that it has destroyed three missile launch platforms utilized by the Houthi group, claiming these were used to threaten regional security.
According to Anadolu Agency, coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki stated that any Houthi attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure would be met with a decisive response.
The conflict in Yemen began in 2014 when the Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, and several provinces, leading to the Saudi-led coalition's intervention in 2015 to support the internationally recognized government. Although a truce in 2022 brought a period of relative calm, fighting resumed in July and has since spread into Saudi Arabia, with the Houthis launching missile and drone attacks on Saudi territory.
In response to the escalation, government forces have initiated the Dawn of Yemen operation, aiming to reclaim all territories held by the Houthi group.
