Sanaa:The Saudi-led coalition launched a series of airstrikes on Tuesday targeting Houthi positions in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. These strikes were confirmed by both a Yemeni government official and the Houthi forces.
According to Anadolu Agency, Fayyad Alnoman, a Yemeni government official, stated that coalition aircraft initiated the airstrikes on Houthi-held areas in Sanaa, specifically targeting locations that had been previously ordered evacuated by joint forces.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree reported that Saudi forces aimed at Sanaa, while Houthi forces engaged in a response to the attacks. The Houthis also mentioned that a strike hit a facility of the Yemen Petroleum Company in al-Sabahah, located to the west of Sanaa.
Earlier on the same day, the Saudi-led coalition had instructed civilians to evacuate from the central al-Sabahah station of the oil company, preceding the planned military operation. This escalation in hostilities has led to both parties issuing evacuation alerts for potential targets.
