Istanbul:The third GO! GLOBAL Trkiye Summit commenced in Istanbul on Thursday, drawing together global investors, technology leaders, Turkish entrepreneurs, and artificial intelligence experts. The summit spans three days, focusing on international expansion, investment, and innovation.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, the event is organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Trkiye (DEIK) in collaboration with Endeavor Trkiye. Participating investment firms, representing more than $800 billion in capital, have increased from the previously reported $500 billion.
The summit, which expects over 50 investment firms, 250 startup founders, and 900 attendees, will hold its main gathering on Friday at Divan Kurucesme Istanbul. Notable participants include Trade Minister Omer Bolat, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir, DEIK President Nail Olpak, and TAIK Chairman Murat Ozyegin. The program will feature over 200 prearranged one-on-one meetings between entrepreneurs and investors, tailored to align with industry, investment priorities, company growth stages, and international expansion goals.
Turkish companies such as Trendyol, Peak Games, Dream Games, and Insider One have reached unicorn status, highlighting the global reach of Turkish technology talent. Uber's Chief Financial Officer, Balaji Krishnamurthy, will discuss global expansion in a session moderated by Insider One's co-founder and CEO, Hande Cilingir.
The third day of the summit will feature a keynote address by Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, alongside investor discussions and sessions on international limited partners' approaches to emerging markets. DEIK President Olpak emphasized the significant opportunities for economic growth offered by Trkiye's technology talent and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ozyegin expressed excitement about connecting Turkish startups with international investors and strengthening Trkiye's position in the global innovation ecosystem. Emre Kurttepeli, Endeavor Trkiye Chairman, highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence in reshaping investment priorities and creating new opportunities for Turkish entrepreneurs.
