Israeli Army Fatally Shoots Two Palestinians in West Bank Confrontation

Hebron:Two Palestinians were fatally shot by the Israeli army on Friday morning. The incident occurred during a shootout after allegations that the Palestinians had opened fire at Israeli occupiers in the West Bank city of Hebron, injuring five individuals.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Israel's emergency medical service, Magen David Adom, reported that two of the wounded individuals are in critical condition. Video footage shared on social media captured the moments when Israeli soldiers fired at the Palestinians.

The Israeli army has since cordoned off Palestinian villages near Hebron. The report emerges against a backdrop of increased attacks by Israeli occupiers and the army against Palestinians and their land in the occupied West Bank, which have intensified during the current olive harvest season.

Palestinian figures indicate that approximately 750,000 Israeli occupiers reside in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, across 194 settlements and around 400 outposts. Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land are deemed illegal under international law.
