Trump Considers Military Action or Negotiations with Iran

Washington:US President Donald Trump indicated that the United States could either strike Iran as early as "tomorrow" or negotiate a "big, beautiful" agreement with Tehran. This statement comes amid discussions about potential renewed military action against the Islamic Republic.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Trump mentioned that the option for a military strike was under consideration, but he did not disclose specific plans. He emphasized that Iran could avoid further military actions by negotiating a deal with the US, although he expressed skepticism about Iran's commitment to uphold such an agreement.

Trump's remarks highlighted his objective to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He referenced a past US operation involving B-2 bombers, asserting that it was insufficient for a permanent solution. Trump also noted an increase in oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, though he did not provide specific figures.

Despite the absence of a clear decision, Trump presented both military action and negotiations as potential strategies. He stated that he might have to "finish it off," but also acknowledged the possibility of reaching a deal with Iran. The ongoing US-Israeli conflict with Iran, initiated in February, continues to affect the Middle East despite a ceasefire and efforts to finalize a peace agreement.
