Istanbul:Fenerbahce has announced that Dirk Kuyt will continue as interim head coach until the November international break. This decision comes as the club intensifies its search for a permanent head coach.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the former Dutch international was appointed on Wednesday following the resignation of Ismail Kartal. Fenerbahce's board of directors reviewed the coaching situation and opted to keep Kuyt in charge until the league pauses for international fixtures.

The club also stated that a committee has been formed to expedite the appointment of a new head coach. Kuyt, who has a notable history with Liverpool, will face his former club when Fenerbahce hosts Liverpool in the Champions League on November 4.
