Gaza City: At least 31 Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday amid ongoing hostilities, medical sources reported.

According to Anadolu Agency, 10 individuals lost their lives in three strikes targeting tents housing displaced civilians in the southern city of Khan Younis. Additional airstrikes in the same region resulted in the deaths of two more Palestinians.

The airstrikes extended to the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, where Israeli warplanes targeted a house, resulting in the deaths of at least eight family members, as confirmed by another medical source. Meanwhile, in Gaza City, four Palestinians were killed following an airstrike on a home in the Sabra neighborhood.

Furthermore, seven people were reportedly killed in airstrikes that targeted two homes in the northern town of Beit Lahia. The airstrikes are part of ongoing military actions as Israel continues to restrict Gaza's crossings to humanitarian aid since early March, exacerbating food shortages in the region.

The Israeli military began an aerial campaign on the Gaza Strip on March 18, resulting in nearly 800 deaths and over 1,600 injuries, despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January. Since October 2023, over 50,100 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and more than 113,700 have been injured due to the military actions.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its military actions in the enclave.
