Australia: Australia on Friday announced that the government has secured additional fuel shipments to strengthen national energy supplies. This includes 100 million liters of jet fuel and 50 million liters of diesel, as global markets face increasing pressure due to ongoing Middle East tensions.

According to Anadolu Agency, the new shipments are set to be delivered to Brisbane, Perth, and Darwin, as part of a broader initiative to safeguard the country from global energy market instability. This effort is detailed in an official statement issued by the Prime Minister's office.

These shipments will add to eight prior deliveries organized in collaboration with BP Australia, Ampol, and Viva Energy, which are expected to arrive in May and June. Overall, Australia has now secured over 450 million liters of diesel and 100 million liters of jet fuel to ensure sustained fuel availability across the transport, aviation, and logistics sectors.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated that the government is working 'day and night' to protect Australians from global disruptions linked to overseas conflicts. "We have now secured more than 450 million liters of additional diesel and 100 million liters of additional jet fuel to keep Australia moving," he affirmed.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen noted that the latest shipments highlight growing collaboration with industry partners to reinforce supply chains. Meanwhile, Transport Minister Catherine King emphasized that the secured jet fuel will provide stability for aviation and freight operations, marking a first since the conflict began.

Additionally, on Thursday, Australia and South Korea renewed a crucial energy partnership aimed at ensuring stable supplies of diesel and other liquid fuels.
