Bahrain Repels Iranian Aerial Attacks Amid Middle East Tensions

Brussels: Bahrain's Defense Force announced that it successfully intercepted and destroyed several aerial attacks originating from Iran. The statement was made public on Saturday, emphasizing the force's readiness and high alert status to safeguard Bahraini territory.

According to Anadolu Agency, the General Command of Bahrain's Defense Force highlighted the serious nature of the attacks, which involved missiles and drones targeting civilians and private property. The force condemned these actions as a clear breach of international humanitarian law. This development occurs against a backdrop of increasing tensions in the Middle East, with the United States conducting strikes on Iran, prompting retaliatory actions from Tehran against regional countries, including Bahrain, which houses US military assets.

The ongoing hostilities between Washington and Tehran continue despite a memorandum of understanding brokered by Pakistan in June, which aimed to terminate the conflict and establish a lasting peace agreement.
