Bahrain Says Facility in Maameer Targeted After Nationwide Sirens

Manama: Bahrain stated that a facility in the Maameer area, south of the capital Manama, was targeted following the activation of warning sirens across the nation amid rising regional tensions.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Interior Ministry, referencing Bahrain state television, confirmed that a facility in Maameer was targeted. The ministry added that relevant authorities are currently investigating the incident, although no further details have been disclosed.

Since February 28, Iran has launched missiles and drones targeting Israel and Gulf countries that host US military assets. Some of these attacks have resulted in casualties and damage to civilian sites, including ports and residential buildings. Tehran has stated that these attacks are a response to a US-Israeli military campaign against Iran, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials.
