Brussels: Belgian Air Force officials have stated that a grounded F-35 jet is not inoperable, amid ongoing assessments of its condition.

According to Anadolu Agency, Chinese drone maker DJI has filed an appeal in a US federal court against a recent ruling. The court had upheld the company's inclusion on the Pentagon's blacklist of alleged 'Chinese military companies,' a decision originally made by the US Department of Defense. In October 2024, DJI initiated a lawsuit at the US District Court in the District of Columbia, contesting the designation as a 'Chinese Military Company' (CMC).

Last month, the court rejected DJI's plea to be removed from the list. In response, DJI expressed its disagreement with the ruling, announcing an appeal to protect its reputation and interests. The company emphasized its opposition to the military use of its products and technologies, highlighting measures taken to prevent such misuse.

DJI's challenges date back to 2022 when the US Department of Defense first added the company to its CMC list. The designation was reaffirmed with the release of an updated list in January 2024.
