Warsaw: Widespread disruptions on Poland's emergency phone lines were reported on Tuesday across multiple regions, according to Polish news agency PAP. Problems were noted with connecting to the 112 and 999 emergency numbers since morning, as confirmed by a Polish trade union for emergency number operators.

According to Anadolu Agency, Interior Ministry spokeswoman Karolina Galecka stated that the malfunction affected the 112 number in certain provinces, and the cause is currently under investigation. Galecka also mentioned that it is currently uncertain whether the issue is a long-term problem necessitating a major repair or a temporary disturbance.

The disruptions have raised concerns about the potential impact on emergency response times and the safety of residents in the affected areas. Authorities are working to resolve the issue promptly to restore full functionality to the emergency service numbers.
