Istanbul: The Bilim Trkiye project, launched by the Trkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), has reached approximately 3.85 million students, introducing them to a range of topics including mathematics and aerospace.
According to Anadolu Agency, the initiative, which began in 2020 as part of Trkiye's National Technology Move, aims to increase interest in science and technology, foster communication in the field, and cultivate a generation of productive, team-oriented individuals. The program offers activities covering design, technology, natural sciences, mathematics, astronomy, aviation, space, entrepreneurship, and agricultural technologies.
Students aged 6 to 14 have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshop training. In addition to workshops, they can explore interactive exhibits and visit planetariums, providing experiential learning opportunities. The program includes hourly workshops, package programs, long-term training, thematic workshops, special non-workshop events, and interactive exhibit tours.
The Bilim Trkiye Education Program operates in 27 centers across five countries: Trkiye, Azerbaijan, Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, and Montenegro. Domestic centers are located in several Turkish provinces, including Istanbul, Gaziantep, Erzurum, Ankara, Manisa, Samsun, Trabzon, Konya, Usak, and Corum.
Since its international expansion in 2021, the program has been implemented in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, marking its first venture abroad. This expansion was facilitated by a partnership between the T3 Foundation and Azerbaijan's State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation, with a protocol signed to strengthen bilateral relations.
The Bilim Trkiye program offers over 600 unique workshop contents, designed with active technological learning tools, ensuring a consistent educational experience across all centers.
