Istanbul:Trkiye's benchmark stock index closed at 12,443.92 points on Monday, marking an increase of 1.42%.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the week at 12,373.11 points and gained 173.74 points compared to Friday's close. Throughout the day, the index fluctuated between a low of 12,373.11 and a high of 12,528.60.

The market value of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 12.2 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $249.2 billion, with a trading volume reaching 118 billion liras, or $2.4 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 66 increased in value, while 31 declined from the previous close.

In commodity markets, gold was priced at $4,134.60 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $101.7. The exchange rates were reported as 49.1555 for the US dollar/Turkish lira, 55.1340 for the euro/Turkish lira, and 65.0190 for the British pound.
