Bitcoin Surpasses $100,000 Amid Bull Run Following US Presidential Election.

NEW YORK: Bitcoin's price surged past the $100,000 mark late Wednesday, achieving this milestone for the first time ever. This significant rise in value is the culmination of a bull run that has seen the cryptocurrency's value increase by over 30% since the US presidential election on November 5. According to Anadolu Agency, the world's largest cryptocurrency was trading around $68,000 on the eve of Election Day. It then reached a new record high of $75,000 the day after the election. The victory of former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris has boosted investor optimism, propelling Bitcoin to unprecedented heights. Bitcoin reached $103,343 at the time of publication. During his campaign, Trump promised a pro-crypto regulatory stance, asserting his intention to establish the US as the 'crypto capital of the planet.' He announced plans at a summer conference to create a crypto advisory board. Earlier in the day, Trump appointed crypto advocate Paul Atkins to head the Securities and Exch ange Commission, which has increased expectations for a more favorable regulatory environment for the industry.
