Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,912.17 points, marking an increase of 0.26% or 26.12 points from the previous close. According to Anadolu Agency, on Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index saw a rise of 0.60%, closing the day at 9,886.05 points. The transaction volume for that day reached 104 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.98 billion. The currency exchange rates as of 09.50 a.m. (0650GMT) showed the USD/TRY at 34.7554, the EUR/TRY at 36.5879, and the GBP/TRY trading at 44.2034. Additionally, the price of one ounce of gold was recorded at $2,672.50, while Brent crude oil was priced around $72.32 per barrel.
